Fluorescent tube is the main lighting source for interior areas, like offices, schools, hospitals, stores, hotels, garages, supermarkets, warehouses and factories etc.

There are various fluorescent fixtures for the tube to be installed in. The light is casted down onto working desks.



It is obvious that only the light casted down are useful; but fluorescent tube outputs light into all directions (360 degree). The reflector on the fixture can direct some light to downside, but that is not enough. Test shows at least 50% light are wasted, that means a 4ft fluorescent tube produces 2500lm (approx), only 1250lm is used for lighting up working desk.
