Our wood spoon is one of our most versatile cooking utensils. It is useful for cooking sauces, stirring vegetables, and serving at the dining room table. Unlike metal spoons, traditional hand-made wooden spoons do not transfer heat during cooking and are safe to use on all cooking surfaces, including your cast iron skillet. Our wooden spoons paired with our handmade spatula combine as an excellent utensil set.
Lancaster Cast Iron spoons are oiled with food-grade mineral oil to preserve them for a lifetime of use in your kitchen. After each use, hand wash with warm soapy water and towel dry your wooden serving spoon. Periodically maintain with spoon and board wax to keep the wood from drying out.
