Very nice vintage deep frying thermometer made by Taylor Instruments in Rochester, NY. The blue wood handle shows some minor wear but has plenty of paint left. The stainless steel thermometer is in excellent shape and includes the adjustable clip on the back to attach during use or storage. The original box is solid with beautiful with colorful graphics. Inside is the original information tag. Tested as pictured with boiling water, reaching roughly 212 degrees. This thermometer looks very similar to their candy and jelly thermometer, but has a much wider temperature range. While it will work, it's lacking the candy related temperature markings. Measures about 11 ¾" x 1 ¾".
