The Sakai Takayuki 33 layer damascus line is an exceptional quality knife at a great value. Forged with a core steel of VG-10 and cladded in a 33 layer stainless damascus. Rated at 60-61hrc this steel has very good toughness, edge life and ease of sharpenability. The blade face is finished with a tsuchime (hammered) pattern that not only looks amazing but also helps with food from sticking to the blade. The octagonal handle is crafted from walnut and pakka wood.
