Its design has evolved over the centuries into one of the most versatile and functional knives in existence today. This is a solid all-around camp or utility knife, featuring a long, medium-width stainless steel blade lightly inscribed with the Iisakki Järvenpää signature. This is a puukko knife with a pommel cast into a miniature horse's head, which is a very traditional Scandinavian design. The handle is made from stacked layers of birch bark, lacquered and polished smooth. The sheath is nicely detailed with stamped and stained artwork, it contains a plastic liner to prevent the very sharp blade from slicing through, and the belt loop is attached by a metal D-ring so that it swings
